Dateline: Worcester Thomas F. Prendiville Jr., 80 of Worcester, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in his home surrounded by his devoted family. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Mary E. (O'Connor) Prendiville; four sons, Thomas Prendiville and his wife Kim of Holden, John Prendiville and his partner Nancy Bombard of Worcester, David Prendiville and his wife LeAnne of Sterling and Robert Prendiville and his partner Kelly Plouffe of Worcester; three daughters, Michele and her husband Edward Cournoyer of Millbury, Diane and her husband David Fields of Worcester and Tammy Prendiville of Worcester; fifteen grandchildren, including Bobby Prendiville with who he lived with for many years; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Thomas was born on September 4, 1930 in Worcester, son of the late Thomas F. Prendiville Sr. & Dorothy (Rosebush) Prendiville. He graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Thomas worked for over forty years as an assistant manager for A & P Food Markets. He was a former member of the Pope John XXIII Council, Knights of Columbus. He was an avid Yankee Fan and enjoyed the Boston Celtics. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, April 5th beginning at 9:00am followed by a 10:00am Funeral Mass in Saint John Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester.
