Josephine C. (Limoli) Curci, 98, of Worcester died peacefully Sunday March 27, 2011 in the Parsons Hill Nursing Home. Her husband of 58 years Maurice J. Curci died in 2000. Josephine was born in Sicily the eldest daughter of Antonio Limoli and Josephine Limoli-Pastore. She is survived by a brother Matteo Pastore, and many devoted nieces, nephews, great and great great nephews and nieces. Josie was predeceased by four brothers; Joseph Limoli, and Frank, Peter, and Reno Pastore, and two sisters Angela (Limoli) Kelly, and Antoinette (Limoli) Pingalore. While having no children of her own "Auntie Jo" was a loving and caring surrogate mother to all her nieces and nephews who spent many happy days and nights in her home on Liscomb St. in Worcester where she cooked the best spaghetti and meatballs, pepper and egg sandwiches and homemade Italian cookies and many delicate pastries. She was an avid seamstress and loved to crochete, she made many dresses and outfits for all her nieces. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Josephine's funeral will be held Thursday with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to a charity of choice. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
