H. Agnes Surabian, 89, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her loving companion of fifty years, Ernest "Ernie" Cola. Aggie, as she was lovingly known, is survived by her devoted sister, Siranoosh "Dorothy" Surabian, with whom she lived as well as many cousins, extended family and loving friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Arshaloose "Arshie/Ruth" Surabian. She was born in Sutton on 2-22-22, daughter of the late Karekin and Zaroohi (Balian) Surabian. Aggie worked for many years as a floor supervisor at Grovesnor Shoe. She had also worked at Scano's Bakery and Worcester Fabric Company. She was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Savior. She loved the New York Yankees, reading and enjoyed being surrounded by family and great friends. She could be found having coffee and conversation at all hours of the day and night at Dunkin Donut and the former El Morocco. Her Funeral will be held Saturday, March 26, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Funeral Service at 9:30 a.m. in the Armenian Church of Our Savior, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
