Victoria (Blanchette) Posson, 87, a long time resident of Shrewsbury, died peacefully Thursday, March 10, 2011 in Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Victoria, daughter of the late Philippe and Juliette (Cloutier) Blanchette, was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on April 17, 1923. On September 22, 1942, she married her beloved husband, Charles W. Posson, Jr. who died December of 1990. For many years, Victoria worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Worcester County Hospital. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and the very best grandmother any of us could have ever hoped for. She will be sadly missed. Victoria is survived by her two children, Phillip C. Posson of Shrewsbury and Charlene M. Lothrop of Boylston; a sister, Irene DeMarco of Milton; five grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Robert and Rudolph Blanchette and two sisters, Violet Johnson-Hagan and Doris Williams. In accordance with Victoria's wishes, she was cremated.
