Leo B. Forzley, Jr. 53, of Sterling, VA, formerly of Worcester and Webster passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 7th 2011 in Virginia after suffering a heart attack while at work. Leo was born March 17th 1957, in Worcester. He attended Worcester Academy, and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School. He then lived in Worcester and Webster before moving to Sterling Virginia 5 years ago. Leo is survived by his daughter, Katherine A. Forzley; his parents, Leo B. Forzley, Sr. and Jeanette L. (Kouri) Forzley all of Worcester; a sister Janine L. Chalupka and her husband Bruce K. of Auburn; a nephew Stephen M. and a niece Stacey L. Chalupka; Many extended family and friends. Leo was a self employed building contractor for the past 30 years. He owned and operated Lee's Carpentry. He was a member of St George Orthodox Cathedral and one time counselor with the Junior Soyo church organization. Leo had a profound curiosity in History and Science and enjoyed exploring his interests with his daughter, niece and nephew. Leo's funeral service will be held Monday, March 14th at 11:00 am in St George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday, March 14th from 9:30 to 11:00 am in the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Almaza Forzley memorial fund, care of St George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. Worcester 01604.
