Kevin E. Hunt, 47, of Worcester passed away Sunday, February 22rd 2011 in his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. . Kevin's adored wife, partner and best friend of 20 years, Caroline J. (Bunker) Hunt passed away in March of 2010. He is survived by his mother, Jane R. (McPartland) Hunt of Worcester; his four siblings, James F. Hunt and his wife Bonnie of Boylston, Susan M. Johnson and her husband Steven of Pasco, Washington, Thomas M. Hunt and his wife Deborah of Worcester, Kathleen J. Dunn and her husband James of Lowell; his wife Caroline's two sons, Michael Novia of Andover, Jason Novia, his wife Katie and their daughter Arabella all of Worcester; A sister in law, Elizabeth Hunt of Worcester; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A brother, Daniel R. Hunt and a sister Mary Ellen Hunt both pre deceased him. Kevin was born in Worcester; his father was the late Thomas F. Hunt, Jr. He graduated from North High School and has lived in Worcester all his life. Kevin worked as a Letter Carrier for the town of Natick for over 22 years before retiring in 2010 due to illness. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Union Local 362 in Natick. At onetime Kevin played men's softball and was a member of the Westborough and Natick Men's Softball leagues. Kevin was a quiet man who cherished the relationship he had with his wife Caroline. Together they traveled extensively to Cancun, Nassau, and Hampton Beach in the summer. His wife and family were what inspired him to life. He cherished the time he had with them and the company he could share being around them. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26th at 10:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial next to his wife will follow in St John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Saturday February 26th from 9 am to 10:30 am prior to the service.
