Rosa L. White, 63, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. Rosa is survived by two sons, Bobby Hammond and his wife Samona of Worcester and James E. White and his wife Becky of Gastonia, NC; two daughters, Brenda Givins and Princilla Walker and her husband Harry Walker, Jr. all of Worcester; one brother, Willie Givins, Jr. of Worcester; two sisters, Creola Hutchful and Lillie T. Jones both of Worcester; eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister, Vertil Givins. Rosa was born in Savannah, Georgia, a daughter of the late Willie H. and Estella Lee (Johnson) Givins. She attended Chiefland High School and later moved to Worcester and has resided her for thirty five years. Rosa became a Certified Nurses Assistant through the American Red Cross. She then worked as a CNA / PCA at Clark Manor Nursing Home for over forty years before retiring in 2000. Rosa was a member of Mount Sinai Church and was involved in there motherboard. She loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles but most of all she was a caregiver to anyone and everyone that needed it. Services for Rosa will be held on Tuesday, February 22nd at 11:30 a.m. in Mount Sinai Church-God of Christ, 63 Wellington St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. in church prior to the service.
