Lincoln E. Sneade, 90 of Worcester passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 in The Golden Living Center - The Hermitage. Lincoln was born on June 17, 1920 in Worcester, the oldest son of Alfred & Marion (Wright) Sneade. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade. He enlisted in the Army in 1942 to serve his country during World War II. Mr. Sneade has lived most of his life in Florida, moving back to Worcester in 2006. Lincoln's wife of 64 years, Anne (Shukas) Sneade passed away in 2006. He is survived by his son, Brian and his wife Eva of Vienna, VA; a daughter, Janet and her husband Anthony Valeri of Worcester; two brothers, Richard Sneade of Oxford, MA and Donald Sneade of North Carolina; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a son, Paul D. Sneade and three brothers, Raymond, Alfred and Robert Sneade. Mr. Sneade worked for the Motorola Company for several years in Phoenix, Arizona and for the Federal Forestry Service as a draftsman while living in Florida. He had previously worked for Riley Stoker in Worcester. He enjoyed square dancing, was very knowledgeable and passionate with genealogy but most of all enjoyed camping with his family, Yellowstone National Park being his favorite. A memorial service and burial in Notre Dame Cemetery will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours.
