Mary E. Smith

Mary E. (Bull)Smith, 70, of 19K Goldwaithe Road died on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 after an illness at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester. Her husband Stanley Smith died in 2001. Mrs. Smith was born on February 4, 1941 in Hartsville, South Carolina to Martha(Fountain) and Jordan Bull. She leaves a daughter, Sondra Knowles, and a son-in-law, Matthew Knowles. She was a loving grandmother to her three grandchildren, Jordan, Kya and Connor Knowles all of Shrewsbury, MA. A sister Sandy Poston, of Worcester, MA. A sister in law, Geraldine Bull of Worcester. She leaves many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Mrs. Smith worked for the University Of Massachusetts Medical Center for 21 years as a Patient Care Associate. She retired in 2006 from UMASS. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Stars. She was predeceased by her brother, Charlie Bull. She was a loving, caring woman, that was full of life and loved by many. Calling hours are Sunday February 20th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel at 370 Plantation Street, Worcester MA.
