Victoria V. (Giabatti) Rossi, 90, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011, in her home. Her husband of sixty-six years, Armando J. Rossi, predeceased her in April 2009. Victoria is survived by her two loving daughters and their husbands, Gloria and Donald Ciappenelli of Weston and Paula M. and Thomas Lettic of Northborough; two sisters, Joan Savage of Worcester and Antoinette O'Leary of Auburn; four beloved grandchildren, Robert D. Ciapenelli and his wife Elizabeth and Leah D. Ciappenelli, Nicholas R. and Amanda L. Lettic; three great grandsons, Benjamin, Andrew and Dakota; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Mattress, Amelia Catino, Josephine Flanders and Frances Cammuso. Victoria was born in Worcester, one of seven daughters to the late Egidio and Vincenza (Savona) Giabatti, and has lived here all her life. Victoria and her husband were founding members of Our Lady of Loreto Church. While raising her family she was active at the former St. Margaret Mary Church and was active in the Parent Teacher Organizations at both the former Bloomingdale School and Middlesex Avenue School. Victoria worked as an inspector at David Clark Company, before retiring. She enjoyed baking, cooking and keeping a wonderful home for her family, especially her grandchildren. She remained ever curious and proud of the accomplishments of her grand and great grandchildren. Victoria's family would like to express their thanks to the wonderful people at Overlook Hospice, for the care and devotion shown to Victoria and the family. Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 16, from MERCADANTE FUNEAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester, MA 01604. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 15, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
