Vincent F. Zollo, 68, of Worcester, passed away Wednesday, February 9th after a long illness surrounded by his loving family. Vincent was born January 8th 1943, in Worcester a son of Gaetano and Nicolina (Verdi) Zollo. He attended Worcester Public Schools, served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War era and has lived here all his life. Vinny, is survived by his devoted and cherished family; His wife of 47 years, Marie R. (Tolman) Zollo; A daughter, Donna Marie Zollo; a cherished granddaughter , love of his life and apple of his eye, Jennifer Marie Zollo: brothers, sisters, many nieces, and nephews, including his godson Robert G. Zollo and nieces, Marie Hajko and Sophia Cesnickas, extended family and many friends. A brother and a sister pre deceased him. Vinny worked in family construction businesses for several years including his own company Zollo Insulation. He was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church, the Pope John Council, Knights of Columbus, and the Worcester Lodge # 168, Order Sons of Italy in America. Vinny enjoyed watching sports and occasional trips to the Casino's. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12th at 12 Noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Saturday, February 12th from 10 am to 12 noon prior to the service. Family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions in his name be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St. 01608.
