Domenic "Riby" Perno, 84, of Worcester passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 in his home surrounded by his family. His wife of forty-five years, Virginia (Naujokas) Perno predeceased him on July 26, 2003. He leaves his two sons, Stephen Perno and his wife Marlene and Joseph Perno and his wife Sharon; a brother, Michael Perno all of Worcester; three sisters, Angela Markarian of RI, Mary Waterhouse of Oxford and Irene Kabadian of Holden; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Shaun, Nicole and Rebecca; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Matteo Perno and a sister, Michalena Wrona. Riby was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Michael & Lucrezia (Argendieri) Perno. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Perno was a union carpenter for over thirty years. His hobbies included gardening in which he took great pride, especially his tomato plants. He also enjoyed playing the lottery and watching sports. He was also very gifted and talented when it came to fixing practically anything. The family would like to thank the people at VNA Care Network Hospice, for their wonderful and compassionate care. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Saturday, January 22nd from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
