Theresa M. (Ritacco) Kwiatkowski, who recently celebrated her 87th birthday at a celebration with her family, of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the home of her daughter. Her loving husband of sixty-one years, Joseph W. Kwiatkowski, predeceased her in December of 2009. Theresa is survived by her loving family including two daughters, Theresa M. Conte-McGee and MaryAnn Ritacco and her husband Gianfranco; a brother, William Ritacco Sr. and his wife Mary, all of Worcester. She also leaves five grandchildren, Karin Conte and her partner Diedra Finney, Anthony Conte and his wife Francesca, Pino Ritacco and his wife Jamie, Stefano Ritacco and Maria Ritacco; four great grandchildren, Mia, Alessandro, Gabriella and Gianni; nieces, nephews and extended family. A grandson, Joseph McGee predeceased her in November 2008. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Gennaro and Filomena (Algieri) Ritacco, and has lived here all her life. Theresa worked as a stitcher for many years, retiring from Hersh Neckwear, having previously worked at Worcester Molded Plastics. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church, The Beato Angelo D'Acri Society, The Polish Falcons and The White Eagle. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, who would always be there to help anyone who needed it. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 18, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 17, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Members of the Beato Angelo D'Acri Society will gather during calling hours at 6 p.m. for their ritual.
