Rose Nina (Ventura) Pucci, 89 of Worcester passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Knollwood Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Rose's husband of sixty five years, Mario Pucci passed away on May 3, 2008. She is survived by a daughter, Rosalie Thomas of Salisbury; three sisters, Laura Zukowski of Worcester, Mary DeToma of Venice, FL. and Margie Melinicki of East Douglas; a brother, Vito Ventura of Millbury; four grandchildren, Michelle Zorge, Marc Thomas, Kenneth Neale Jr., and Jennifer Neale; three great grandchildren, Ashley & Justin Zorge and Alexander Thomas; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, Robert Pucci; a daughter Lisa Neale; three sisters, Anna Tadisco, Clara Ventura and Grace DeMaria. Rose was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Maurice and Laura (Ferranti) Ventura and has lived her all her life. She was the owner and a seamstress for A&J Cleaners for thirty years, where her and her husband worked side by side. She also worked and helped her son manage his business, Pucci's Jewelry Store until she retired in 1986. Rose was a member St. George's Roman Catholic Church. She had unconditional love for her family. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with them. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Rose will be held on Tuesday, January 4th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 am in St. George's Roman Catholic Church, 40 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family on Monday, January 3rd from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
