Robert J. Grenache, 41, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010, at his home, from a sudden heart attack. He leaves his girlfriend of two years, Carey A. Zelesky and their son, Jacob Vincent Grenache of Worcester; his oldest son, Zachary Cooper Grenache of Annandale, NJ; his parents, Rudolph J. Jr. and Helen D. (Wierstak) Grenache of Worcester; his sister, Helen Nicole Grenache of Holden; his paternal grandparents, Rudolph, Sr. and Gisele M. Grenache of East Dennis; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents, Charles J. and Helen F. Wierstak. Robert was born and raised in Worcester. He graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High School in 1987. He has been working with his father at Rudy's ARCO and Rudy's Auto Service Center on Lincoln Street in Worcester, for most of his life. Robert loved his family, especially his sons Zachary and Jacob. He lived life to the fullest. Robert loved classic cars, riding motorcycles, jet skiing, snow mobiling, snow skiing and hunting with his father. He loved boating, waterskiing and playing ball. He also enjoyed visits to Cape Cod and spending time at the beach. Calling hours for Robert will be held on Sunday, January 2, from 3-6 p.m. in Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His funeral will be held on Monday, January 3, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of The Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street, Worcester (please proceed directly to church).
