Carol A. (Minka) Dell'Aquila, 58, of Worcester passed away early Christmas morning December 25th with her family at her side. Carol is survived by her devoted husband and partner of 38 years, Fiore Dell'Aquila; a son whom she adored, Paul S. Dell'Aquila of West Hollywood, California; her mother, Thomaidha (Thomo) Minka; a brother, Andrew Minka and his wife Mercine; a sister, Virginia Theodosis all of Worcester; three god children who cherished her, Nicholas Minka, and Sara and Katlyn Harrington; and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family and friends. A brother in law Daniel Theodosis pre deceased her. Carol was born June 5, 1952; her father was the late Theodore P. Minka. She graduated from Doherty High class of 1970 and Salter Secretarial School in 1972 and has lived here all her life. Carol worked more than 25 years for the Town of Auburn as secretary to the Auburn High School Principal. She was a member of St Mary Assumption Albanian Orthodox Cathedral and was a member and secretary of its women's guild. She loved to travel. Her and her husband Fiore would often take trips to California and Las Vegas. Carol was a truly dedicated friend to all who knew her. Her family was her inspiration and her friends her joy. She could make anyone feel at ease just by entering a room. She will be dearly missed. The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 29th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Service at 11:00 am in St Mary Assumption Albanian Orthodox Cathedral, 535 Salisbury St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, December 28th from 4 pm to 8 pm in the funeral home. A trisagion service will be celebrated at 7 pm in the funeral home.
