Robert F. "Whitey" Wilder, 76 of Shrewsbury passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at home with his devoted family by his side. Robert is survived by his wife of fifty four years, June T. (Giorgio) Wilder; a son, Robert F. Wilder, Jr. of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Susan Dahlstrom and her husband Robert of Worcester and Maureen Kowaleski and her husband Edwin of Westborough; two grandchildren, Evan and Sara Kowaleski; a step-granddaughter, Jaclyn Dahlstrom; his faithful dog, Maximus; two brothers, Kenneth Wilder of Rutland and Richard Wilder of Worcester; two sisters, Mary Wilder and Shirley Seaberg both of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by three brothers, John, Rocky and Lawrence Wilder. Robert was born in Lowell, a son of the late Lawrence Sr. and Katherine (Lynch) Wilder. He graduated from Commerce High School and Worcester State College where he received his Associates Degree in Business. He also completed courses in Economics at Assumption College. Prior to college he entered the United States Navy in 1951, serving his country during the Korean War aborad the U.S. Aircraft Carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt. He worked as a sales manager for both ITT Continental Baking Company and Genest Baking Company. He later became the District Manager for Stella D'Oro Biscuit Company. Robert was very interested in business being an entrepreneur in restaurants & bars. He was the owner and founder of Squire Whites, and also the owner of Caesar's Bar & Restaurant in Maine, Bella Donna Bakery & Barney Google's. He was a former member of St. Anne's Church in Shrewsbury and a member of the East Side Post 201. Services for Robert were Private.
