Anthony J Paladino, 92, of Worcester passed away peacefully, Monday, December 13th 2010 in his home. Anthony is survived by his adoring wife of 69 years Nellie A. (Sviklas) Paladino; two devoted daughters, Dianne L. Paladino-Fournier and her fiancée Frank Norsigian with whom he lived, Marilyn Paladino-Hanson and her husband Paul of Worcester; two brothers, Angelo Paladino of Worcester and Joseph Paladino of Paxton; five grandchildren, Ann-Marie Gould and her husband George, Laurie Johnston and her husband Scott, Dennis Catino and his wife Rae-Ann, William Catino, Derek Courchaine and his wife Lisa; eight great grandchildren, Amanda, Brian, Anthony, Kaitlyn, Joseph, Adrienne "Bubba" , Nathan and Dylan. Many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Two brothers, Frank and John "Jack" Paladino and two sisters, Palma Sbrogna and Sara DeCaro all pre deceased him. Anthony was born in Worcester, a son of Giovanni and Columba (Setaro) Paladino. He graduated from Commerce High School, joined the U.S. Army to serve his country during World War II as a Medic. Upon returning to Worcester, Anthony owned and operated Paladino Trucking Company many years before retiring. A member of the Chapter #4 DAV and VFW South works Post, Anthony assumed command and worked as business manager for the Post. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, The Chapter #4 DAV, The former ITAM Club and a very active member of the VFW South works Post in Worcester. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Thursday December 16th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 17th at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial in St John Cemetery will follow.
