Regent D. Boucher, 81, of Shrewsbury, son of Paul O. and Elmire (Bourget) Boucher, passed away December 10, 2010 after a long illness. He leaves his loving wife of 58 years Therese (Berard), a son David and his wife Linda of Hubbardston, three daughters; Michele Boucher-Johnson and husband Greg of Worcester, Daniele Sandvos and husband Paul of Worcester and Jennifer Macduff and husband Craig of Princeton. His beloved grandchildren: Kristin, Jeremy, Matthew, Dylan, Corey, Stefan, Corie, Kylie, a little angel Casey and a great grandchild Isabella; his sister Lucille Dolci of California and his brothers Raymond and wife Martha of Leicester and Fernand and wife Anne of Worcester. He is predeceased by his brothers Albert, Lawrence and Herman. Mr. Boucher ran a construction company and realty trust in the area for many years. He was an avid gardener and cook volunteering many hours in his community and church. Many of his happiest days were spent with the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Game monitoring and mapping its rivers and streams. A special goodbye to his nieces and nephews, the Gang at the "Y" and his friends from Holy Family School. A mass will be held at Monday, December 13th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a mass at 11:00 am in St Joan of Arch Church, 570 Lincoln St. Visiting hours are from 2 pm to 5 pm Sunday December 12th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St Joan of Arc Food Pantry, 570 Lincoln St, Worcester MA 01605 or to The Alzheimer Unit at Christopher House, 20 Mary Scano Drive, Worcester MA 01605.
