Frances Lawanda McClain, 50 of Worcester, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at home. Frances is survived by a daughter, Kiesha L. McClain; a son, Symere H. McClain and two grandchildren, Symere and Deonte McClain all of Worcester. She also leaves her mother, Lorener (Toney) McClain of Worcester; ten brothers, Walter McClain of Southborough, Dwayne McClain of Florida, Dwyatt and JD McClain both of North Carolina, Diago, Shaquelle, Fuquan, Robert, Chad, and Damien McClain all of Worcester; six sisters, Angela and Angel McClain, Antoinette McClain-Robinson, Star Fields, Tammy Reed all of Worcester and Sheree Holmes of Boston; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, Sean McClain. Frances was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Walter Clem McClain, and graduated from Doherty High School. She worked at Becker College in the house keeping department for over ten years. She previously worked in childcare at the Y.M.C.A. She was a member of the Church of Christ and volunteered at the John Street Baptist Food Bank. She loved to play jokes on people, singing karaoke, and enjoyed going to the casino. Frances was very appreciative and giving to anyone who needed it. She will always be remembered for never forgetting anyone's birthday. Frances' service will held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in the Church of Christ, 89 Beaver Brook Pkwy, Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Saturday morning from 9-11:30 a.m. in the church.
