Anne L. (Ferraro) Morrone, 86, of Worcester passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday November 17th 2010. Anne's husband Dominic A. Morrone who shared her life for 61 years passed away in 2004. She is survived by her three devoted children, Paul A. Morrone and his wife Maureen of Delray Beach, FL., Karen A. Crawford and her husband Christopher, David D. Morrone and his husband Michael Caramello all of Worcester; six grandchildren, whom she cherished Elizabeth Hill and her husband Timothy, Andrea Dotterer and her husband Jesse, Christopher Crawford, Jr. , Anthony Morrone and his wife Lynn, Marissa DeFeo and her fiancée Dana LaPerle, Michael Paul Morrone and his wife Lyndi; five great grandchildren, Preston, Madelynne, Dominic, Kaylee and Nicholas: Many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Six siblings; brothers, Joseph F., James F., and Paul Ferraro and sisters, Julia Groves, Peggy Raad and Rose Canzano all pre deceased her. Anne was born in Worcester, a daughter of Antonio and Aurelia (Serravaglia) Ferraro and has lived here all her life. Anne worked for the University of Massachusetts Medical School in the Library many years before retiring. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Loreto church. A member of the Beato Angelo D'Arci Society, and the Our Lady of Loreto Leisure Club. She was a passionate Red Sox fan. Anne was a devoted gentle woman who cherished her family. She devoted her entire time to making sure her husband, children and grandchildren were cared for. They were what inspired her, and fulfilled her life. Anne cherished her family. She enjoyed cooking for them as well as her friends. Her greatest Joy was the special moments she could share with them. Each time Anne entered a room with her big smile she made people feel joyous and comfortable. Anne's celebration of life will be held Monday, November 22, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial next to her husband will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Sunday November 21st from 3 pm to 7 pm in the funeral home. Members of the Beato Angelo Society will gather at 4:30 pm in the funeral home to conduct their ritual.
