Lorraine Y. (Jette) Lincoln, 81, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Saint Vincent Hospital. Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Marybeth Lincoln, with whom she lived; a son, Paul E. Lincoln and his wife Deidra of Shrewsbury; two grandchildren, Paul E. Lincoln, III and Taylor Lincoln; a brother, Richard Jette in Florida; a sister, Jeanne Sohigian of Whitinsville; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan A. Lincoln and a sister, Pauline Paradis. Born in Worcester, daughter of Leo D. and Yvonne M. (Bourke) Jette, and graduated from Saint Stephen's High School. She worked for many years as a waitress in some of Worcester's old landmark restaurants including Charles and Putnam & Thurston's. Following her retirement she moved to Plymouth to live with her daughter, Susan and together they owned and operated a popular gift shop in town, returning to Worcester in 2002 to live with her daughter Marybeth, when her daughter Susan passed away. Lorraine enjoyed her time with people and especially loved the special times spent with her family. Calling hours for Lorraine will be held on Saturday morning, November 13, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed immediately with a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
