Robert M. Taylor, 63 of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, October 29, 2010 at home. Robert is survived by his son, J. Dustin Taylor of Shrewsbury; his mother, Josephine (Klesyk) Taylor of Ansonia CT.; two brothers, Richard Taylor of Port Richie, Florida, and Gary Taylor of Ansonia CT: a sister, Geraldine "Gerry" Golski of Ansonia, CT: a nephew, Greg and two nieces Dyan and Dawn; many extended family and a host of friends. A daughter Jennifer passed away in 1981. He was born in Framingham, a son of the late John Taylor. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Robert worked as an installer for Overhead Door Company many years before retiring. He previously worked as a tool maker for Jamesbury Corporation. Robert was a member of Brown Square Civic Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was an avid Golfer and pool player and in his spare time loved to Fish. Robert was also an enthusiastic fan of the Dallas Cowboys. The funeral will be held Thursday, November 4th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 am in St. John Church, 44 Temple St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 9 to 10:30 am Thursday at the funeral home prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the Donor's choice.
