Arthur G. Clark Jr., 77, a longtime resident of West Boylston, died peacefully Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. He leaves his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Patricia E. (Steiger) Clark; his two sons, Arthur G. Clark III and his girlfriend Julie Paschal of Princeton and Terry M. Clark and his wife Gail of Sebec Village, ME; a sister, Adeliane Picarelli of PA, six grandchildren; one great granddaughter and a special friend Raymond Boulanger. A brother Charles Clark predeceases him. Arthur was born on December 13, 1932, son of the late Arthur and Helena (Aho) Clark. He graduated from the Clarke School of Deaf. He was a Master Carpenter and craftsman for over 35 years, working for Worcester Labor Union, R.H. Gallo Builders and retiring from Simpson Builders. After retirement, he was proud to work with his son, Arthur at Clark & Sons Carpentry. Arthur was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed working with his hands, he enjoyed history, and astronomy and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan. Arthur's family would like to thank Dr. Gary Tanguay and staff; as well as his sister-in-law Jacqueline Nitty for their loving and devoted care shown to Arthur. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be held privately.
