Concetta "Connie""Constance" Capuano, 80, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, October 3rd 2010 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital surrounded by her loving family. A devoted Sister and Aunt, Connie was born on November 16, 1929, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Teresa (Tritone) Capuano. She graduated from Commerce High School class of 1948 and has been a lifelong resident of Worcester. Connie worked for the former Mechanics Bank more than 45 years in the Trust Tax Department before retiring in 1993. She is survived by her family; her sisters, Catherine Fanion, Nancy Williamson and her husband Sven; her brothers, Anthony "Tony" Capuano and his wife Elizabeth; James "Butch" Capuano and his wife Elizabeth all of Worcester; her longtime companion Pasquale "Pat" Mazzamurro and lifelong friend Anna (Mazzamurro ) Saucier; several nieces and nephews. A sister Rose Brunelle of CT., a brother, Joseph Capuano and lifelong friend Camella (Mazzamurro) Oliveri all predeceased her. Connie was the family matriarch; nothing compared to her cooking. She cherished the Sunday Dinners and holiday feasts she prepared for her family to enjoy throughout her life. She was a member of North American Martyrs Church and the former St Catherine of Sweden Church. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family, Friday, October 8th from 4 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A celebration of Life funeral will be held October 9th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 am in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn.
