Lucy P Eramo

Lucy P. (DiLeo) Eramo, 85, of Worcester passed away Thursday, September 23rd 2010 in the home of her daughter in Shrewsbury. Lucy was born in Worcester, a daughter of Diego and Antoinette (Colonna) DiLeo. She graduated from Commerce High School class of 1943 and has lived in Worcester all her life. Lucy's husband of 39 years Emillio "Leo" Eramo passed away in October of 1987. Lucy is survived by her three children; Michael A. Eramo and his partner Jay Ryan, Susan M. Eramo-Webster and her husband Kenneth Webster, Jr., David J. Eramo and his wife Denise; a daughter in law Diana Gillet of Bonita Springs, Florida; five grandchildren;, Christopher Eramo and his wife Jen, Matthew and Michael Webster, Kaitlin and Kristina Eramo; a five month old great granddaughter, Olivia; a brother, Vincent DiLeo and a sister, Cecelia Pinkham; many nieces, nephews and friends. A brother, Nicholas DiLeo and a sister, Mary DiLeo pre deceased her. Lucy worked more than 26 years for the former Mechanic's Bank, as assistant supervisor for the commercial loan department before retiring in 1990. She was a devoted catholic and church goer. A member of Our Lady of Loreto Church, its women's guild and leisure club. She volunteered her time for many church functions, especially the annual Italian festival. Lucy was also a volunteer at St Vincent Hospital, and for the Worcester School Departments children's reading program. She was a member of the Worcester Senior Center and Girls Club. The most special times in Lucy's life were spent with family and friends . Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Sunday, September 26th from 3 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. The funeral will be held Monday, September 27th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Burial next to her husband will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to St Anne's Church Free Medical Clinic, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd Shrewsbury 01545.
