Francis J. "Skip" Corrao, 79, of Worcester passed away Saturday, September 18th in the University of Massachusetts Hospital. Francis is survived by his wife of 57 years Jacqueline A. "Jackie" (Goyette) Corrao; his children and grandchildren, James M. Corrao, his wife Jeanne and their children Elizabeth and Matthew, Donna M. Corrao and her daughter Cara, Carol Delany, her husband Patrick and their children James and Theresa; a great granddaughter Annabel; a sister, Evelyn Lydon of Marston Mills; nieces, nephews and friends. He was born in Boston. Graduated from Haverhill High School joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War serving at Kimpo Air Base. He then earned his degree from Worcester Junior College and has lived in Worcester since 1960. Francis worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Certified Alcohol Councilor retiring in 1984. He previously was a sales representative for Flynn's Insurance and brokerage and for the carpet industry in central mass. He was a member of St Joan of Arc Church, the Korean War Veterans Association and was a friend of Bill W's. Calling hours will be held Wednesday September 22nd from 4 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Thursday, September 23rd from the funeral home with a mass at 10:00 am in St Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.
