Ann A. (Marsello) Pagano, 91, formerly of 68 Kenwood Ave, Worcester, passed away Thursday, September 16th 2010 in her home at The Colony Retirement Home. Ann was born in Worcester, February 7th 1919, one of 11 children of Bernard and Angelina (Fraioli) Marsello. She graduated from Commerce High School and earned a certificate in secretarial studies from Becker Junior College. She lived, worked and raised her six children in the family home in Worcester for 50 years. Ann was employed during her working years as an Office Associate. She spent 12 years employed by the City of Worcester at City Hospital and the Belmont home before retiring in 1986. She previously severed as executive assistant to the director of dining and food services at the College of the Holy Cross. Ann's husband of 35 years Michael A. Pagano, Sr. passed away in 1982. She is survived by six children, Michael A. Pagano, Jr and his wife Diane of Shrewsbury, Leonora A. "Lee" Sullivan and her husband Paul of Peterborough N.H., John J. Pagano and his wife Jennie of Paxton, Angela B. Poirier and her husband Dr. Stephen Poirier of Holden, Joseph L. Pagano and his wife Kathleen of Worcester, Leonard B. Pagano and his wife Tamara of Peterborough NH: Additionally, she leaves behind 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister in law, Sue Rosati; many nieces, nephews and friends. Her six brothers Joseph, John, Thomas, Frank, Peter and Bernard and four sisters, Susan Anderson, Antoinette Belair, Mary Carignan and Lucy Stevens all pre deceased her. Ann was an inspired catholic and member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. She additionally served in the church choir, the Golden years and Our Lady of Sorrows Society. Ann was dedicated to her family, her biggest and most inspired enjoyment was the time she could spend with them and seeing them all grow. They were her life's inspiration. Ann's celebration of life funeral will be held Monday, September 20th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in Mt View Cemetery Shrewsbury. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family Sunday, September 19th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the funeral home.
