Raymer T. Rennie, 77, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010, in UMass Hospital. He leaves his wife of fifty-three years, Mary "Yvonne" (LeClair) Rennie. He is also survived by three daughters, Jeanette A. Allen and her husband William J. Allen and Donna M. Rennie all of Worcester and Ann Marie Thomas and her husband Tommy of Auburn; four sons, John T. Rennie and his wife Mary E. Rennie of Oxford, Paul M. Rennie and his fiancé Michelle, Raymer A. Rennie and Michael G. Rennie and his wife Sharyn all of Worcester; a brother, Russell Rennie and his wife Dorothy of Andover; eight grandchildren, Shawn and Cecelia Powers, Jessica Rennie, Sara MacDonald, Zachary and Matthew Allen, Timothy and Mariah Rennie. He also leaves a great grandson, Maurice Horton as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and sister, Martin and Jeanette Rennie. Raymer was born in Chelsea, son of Timothy and Anna (Landry) Rennie. Following his graduation from Immaculate Conception High School in Revere, he served his nation proudly in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict. He worked for over forty years as a lineman for the railroad, retiring in 1997 from Conrail. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the Greendale Men's Club. He and his family enjoyed summers at their home on Prince Edward Island. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and cribbage. The happiest moments in his life were the times he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren, the love and joy that his family brought to him could never be surpassed. Calling hours for Raymer will be held on Friday, September 17, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 18, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Worcester County Memorial Park.
