Maryann (Leale) Beahn, 78, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010, in Saint Vincent Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Beahn, Sr. in March 2005. Maryann is survived by two sons, Joseph F. Beahn, Jr. of Webster and Robert M. Beahn of Worcester; three daughters, Lydia Sawyer of Worcester, Kathleen Beahn of New Bedford and Maryann Beahn of Worcester; a sister, Angie Torrellas in Florida; fifteen grandchildren, BJ, Michael, Marc, Russell, Jesse, Timmy, Mathew, Ricky, Jasmine, Tara, Erica, Justin, Frankie, Danielle and Angie; ten great grandchildren, Dajah, Olyviah, Chelsea, Brayden, Patrick, Katelynn, Austin, Dekota, Gabrielle and Kinzley; many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Ruth Gonyea and sixteen brothers and sisters. She was born in New York City, a daughter of Frank and Angelina (Arena) Leale. Maryann was a food service worker for the city for many years before she retired. She had previously been a waitress at some local restaurants including Wexford House. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Parish, and was a member of the church Golden Years Group. She was also active in her community at the Mount Carmel Apartments and the Worcester Lodge of The Sons of Italy. The funeral for Maryann will be held on Friday, September 17, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery. Her family will receive friends and relatives during calling hours on Thursday, September 16, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
