Kathleen McGowan

Kathleen A. McGowan, 46 of Worcester passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 4th 2010. Kathy is survived by her cherished son, Michael McGowan; her devoted mother Lois I. (Davis) McGowan; four brothers, David P. McGowan and his wife Barbara of Oxford, Patrick J. McGowan and his wife Susan of Northbridge, Paul F. McGowan and his wife Cheryl of Dudley, Daniel T. McGowan and his wife Liane; a sister, Karen J. Noonan and her husband Richard; her maternal grandmother, Florence (Ward) Davis all of Worcester; fourteen nieces and nephews; many extended family and friends. Kathy's father, Worcester Fire LT Thomas P. McGowan passed away August 14th of 2008. She was born in Worcester, graduated from North High School and earned her degree as an x-ray technician from Quinsigamond Community College. She has lived here all her life. Kathy worked as an X-Ray technician many years for various hospitals in the Central Massachusetts Area. She was a member of St Stephen's Church. A devoted mother and daughter, Kathy spent most of her time supporting her son and his activities over the years. She will be greatly missed. Kathy's funeral will be held Friday, September 10th 2010 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton St. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Thursday, September 9th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Stephen's Church building Fund, 357 Grafton St 01604.
