Diane M. Jennings of Worcester passed away after a brief illness on September 3, 2010 at the age of 66. Born on November 6, 1943, in Worcester, MA Diane was the daughter of Lewis and Edith (Carlson) Jennings and has lived in Worcester all of her life. She attended David Hale Fanning School. Diane is survived by her son, Jay M. Jennings of Peabody; three sisters, Cynthia Giannette of Worcester, Marilyn Cronan of Worcester and Kathleen Jennings of Maine; her grandson, Michael Jennings of Worcester and her granddaughter Brianna Jennings of Gardner; one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Lewis C. Jennings predeceases her. Ms. Jennings worked as a printer for many years at the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, before retiring due to her illness. She enjoyed shopping as well as sharing laughter and conversation with her friends and family. Calling hours for Diane will be held on Wednesday, September 8th, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 9th at 11 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
