Francis W. Gingerelli, 88 of Shrewsbury passed away, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 with his loving family by his side. Francis was born in Worcester, a son of Angelo and Carmella (Penny) Gingerelli. He attended Worcester Public Schools entered the U.S. Army to serve his country as a Sergeant during the Korean War. Upon returning he worked many years as a laborer for Amorello Construction Company and later R.H. White before retiring. Francis grew up and lived in Worcester before moving to Shrewsbury in 1980. Francis wife Charlotte (Turner) Gingerelli passed away in 1994. He is survived by Three sons, Michael Gingerelli of Worcester, Charles Gingerelli and his wife Beth of Bradford, RI and Gary Gingerelli and his wife Erica of Millbury; a daughter, Eleanor Luksha of Worcester; one brother, George Gingerelli of Henderson, NV; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. A daughter in law, Lisa Gingerelli passed away in 2009. Two brothers, John and James Gingerelli and a sister, Eleanor Nichols also pre deceased him. Francis family was paramount in his life. He cherished his kids and grandchildren, and the precious times he could spend with them. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Friday, August 27th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
