Evelyn P. "Becky" (Beck) Sosvielle, 94, of Worcester passed away Friday, August 20th 2010.Evelyn was born October 28, 1915 in Worcester, a daughter of William A. and Ella M. (Button) Beck and has lived in Worcester all her life. Evelyn's husband Joseph F. Sosvielle passed away in 1978. She is survived by friend and caregiver Ethel Baker and her family, Cynthia, Jeffrey, Vikki Baker and Sandra Millhouse, a niece Judith Bureau; two nephews, Robert Terrien and Paul C. Miller; extended family and friends. Three sisters, Marie Terrien, Mildred Beck and Eva Miller predeceased her. Evelyn worked more than 35 years as Head Chef for the dietary department of the former Worcester Hahnemann Hospital before retiring in 1977. Evelyn was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. She was also a member and former Pocahontas of the Quinsigamond Tribe #7 Council 102, Improved Order of Red Men and of the Mansfield MA, Tonkawa, and past Pocahontas of Mosag Council #28 in Worcester, AARP, Le Canado American and the Worcester Hahnemann Hospital retirees. Evelyn's funeral service will be held Thursday, September 2nd at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 10am to 11am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
