Michael E. Krause, 64 of Millinocket, Maine, formerly of Worcester and Oxford, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Windham Hospital in Willimantic, CT with his loving family by his side. Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Loreen M. (Ackley) Krause; two sons, Matthew Krause and his wife Michelle of Worcester and Daniel Krause of Millinocket, ME; a daughter, Colleen Krause of Willington, CT; two brothers, Paul Krause of North Grafton and Russell Krause of Shrewsbury; three sisters, Kathleen Powers of Mercer, ME, Claudia Ljunggren of Vienna, ME and Melanie Sewell of Auburn, GA; many nieces, nephews and friends. A brother, Jeffrey Krause predeceased him. Michael was born in Worcester, a son of the late Wesley and Eleanora (Nelson) Krause. He attended Commerce High School where he received numerous awards and had excelled in track and field. He then entered the workforce as a machinist for John Bath Corporation for many years. He later worked as a machinist for Kinefac Corporation for 20 years before retiring in 2004. After retirement, Michael and his wife moved to Millinocket, Maine where he could enjoy what he loved most. He loved hunting, fishing, and being an all around outdoorsman. He also enjoyed being with his children and was extremely proud of his daughter, Colleen for pursuing her dreams to get her PhD. in biochemistry. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
