Paul L. Choiniere

Paul L. Choiniere, 75 of Worcester passed away Tuesday August 10th in St Vincent Hospital with family at his side after an illness. Paul is survived by his devoted wife and partner of 54 years, Ellen C. (Gilbert) Choiniere; a son, Paul C. Choiniere and his wife Brenda of Worcester; two cherished granddaughters, Jenifer L. Cappoli and her husband Keith of Millbury, and Stacy L. Choiniere of Worcester; a adored great grandson, Domenic; one brother, Robert Choiniere and his wife Maurita "Bunny" of Oxford; a sister, Nancy Stowe and her husband Peter of Glastonbury CT; many nieces, nephews and friends. Two brothers, Edgar and Norman Choiniere pre deceased him. Paul was born in Worcester his parents were the late Edgar and Lillian (Cyr) Choiniere. Paul attended Worcester Public Schools and served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard during the late fifties. He has lived here all his life. Paul worked as a maintenance Supervisor for the Poly Foam Corporation in Northbridge over 25 years before retiring in 1997. Paul was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the YMCA Borrows. He was an enthusiastic Car fan of Antique and NASCAR. Paul also loved his family, especially his great grandson. He cherished the times he could spend with them on the beaches of New Hampshire and Maine and with his wife during the winters in Kissimmee Florida. Paul's funeral will be held Saturday, August 14th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Friday August 13th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the funeral home.
