Marion L. (Lynch) O'Meara, 77, of Shrewsbury died peacefully Wednesday August 11, 2010 in the UMASS Medical Center Lake Avenue surrounded by her loving family. Marion is survived by her devoted husband of over fifty years Paul J. O'Meara, her loving children; two daughters Diane Garoulis, and Deborah Sharpe both of Worcester, two sons, Paul J. O'Meara Jr. and his wife Donna of Northbridge, and Daniel O'Meara and his wife Debbie of Worcester. Six grandchildren, Stephanie Ramney, Keith Rexford, Christina Garoulis, Michael Garoulis, Lindsey and Sara O'Meara, and a great grandchild due soon. Marion is also survived by one brother, William R. Lynch of Fall River, and four sisters; Irene Sablone of Sudbury, Marjorie Scolaro of Reading, Carolyn Thorpe of Quincy, and Francis Chalmers of Florida, many nephews and nieces. A brother John Lynch predeceased her. Marion was born in Boston daughter of the late William and Anna (Arasin) Lynch and lived in the Worcester area for many years. She was a graduate of South Boston High School. She worked as a secretary for the John Hancock Insurance Company for many years, but she really enjoyed being a home maker. Marion was a long time member of the former Our Lady of Fatima Parish. She was a loving Mother who devoted her life to her four children. She was a devoted Catholic who never gave up on her faith. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. Private services will be held at the family's convenience. Interment will be in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery 111 Glenellen St. Winchendon, MA. There are no calling hours .Donations may be made to a charity of choice. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
