Gina R. Barbale

Gina R. (Sequeira) Barbale, 80, of Auburn, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2010 in her home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 39 years, Alfred Barbale passed away in 1992. She is survived by her devoted children, Mark Barbale of Douglas, David Barbale and his wife Donna of Charlton and Maria Abderrazzaq and her husband Alan of Auburn; two brothers, David Sequeira of West Boylston and Al Sequeira of Rochester; a sister, Evelyn Ciociolo of CA; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and to all the friends who new her. She is predeceased by her three brothers, Sal, Robert and Richard Sequeira. Gina was born in Worcester on January 9, 1930, daughter of Antonio & Antoinette (Folcarelli) Sequeira. She graduated from Commerce High School, and has lived in Auburn all her life. Mrs. Barbale worked many years as a payroll clerk for the United Public Market and as a clerk for Zayres for over twenty years. Gina was an inspiration to everyone she met. Through her many health issues she always managed to retain a sense of humor. Gina loved to read and most of all enjoyed her shopping. She will be sorely missed by her family and her many friends, but never forgotten. A funeral Mass for Gina will be held Monday, August 9th at 10:00 a.m. in her parish, St. Joseph Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. There are no calling hours and burial will be held privately, at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. The family suggest memorial contributions be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
