Phyllis J. (Atkins) DiPilato, 76, of Worcester died peacefully Friday July 23, 2010 in the Overlook Masonic Health Center. Her husband Nicholas A. DiPilato died in 1983. Phyllis is survived by her loving family; two sons, Nicholas A. DiPilato Jr. and his wife Beth, Christopher P. DiPilato and his wife Anita, two daughters, Lisa Migliacci and her husband Domenic , and Donna Sauer and her husband Wayne. Two brothers Richard Atkins, and Kenneth Atkins, ten grandchildren; Amanda, Alison,Todd, Lauren, Brad, Angela, Staci, Serena, Christopher Jr. and Kyle, and many nephews and nieces. A brother George Atkins predeceased her. Phyllis was born in Worcester daughter of the late Harold and Blanche (Dumont) Atkins and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of St. Peters High School. Phyllis worked for the Worcester Gas Company for many years. She really enjoyed being a home maker. Phyllis was a life member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church, and was also a member of its Golden Years Club. She enjoyed doing ceramics and playing cards, but her most precious times were those spent with her children, grandchildren and family, she will be dearly missed. Her children would like to thank the entire staff of the Overlook Masonic Health Center for all their kindness and compassion given to them and Phyllis during her stay there. It is really appreciated. Phyllis's funeral will be held Monday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 12:30 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mullberry St. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 3PM to 6PM on Sunday. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
