Linda A. Friedrich, 58, of Worcester, died on July 19, 2010 in Westborough Healtcare Center. Ms. Friedrich dedicated much of her life to children through foster care and through her home day care business. She was kind and made friends easily where ever she went. She was also a leader; she took charge and did whatever she could to make things happen. She was past president of the Virginia Foster Care Assn, generally held a leadership position in whatever organization she joined. Linda was born in New London, CT to the late Alfred and Florence Friedrich. She lived most of her life in Northern Virginia before moving to MA in 2007. She is survived by her daughter Amy Friedrich Serr, son-in-law David Serr, and grandchildren Desire, Noah, and Elijah, all of Worcester, MA.; her sisters Ellen (Romeo) Doria of Oxnard, CA., Paula Friedrich of Alexandria, and Cindy (Alvin) Glatkowski of Duck, NC.; and also by all of the foster and day care children she helped to raise and many other friends and relatives. Linda's funeral will be held Friday, July 23rd, at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 67 Chester St., Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to her service in the church. Memorial contributions to foster care and adoption organizations are encouraged.
