Marc D. Angers, 66, of Worcester, MA, and formerly of Auburn, MA, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Boston Medical Center. Born on March 25, 1944, Marc was the son of the late Aime A. Angers and Gisele (Joyal) Angers. Marc leaves behind a brother, Bernard Angers of Worcester; a sister, Cynthia Barnaby and her husband Michael; a nephew, Kevin Barnaby and a niece, Jillian Barnaby, all of West Boylston. His sister, Michele O'Leary, predeceased him in 2005. Marc also leaves behind two very dear cousins, Lenny and Georgie Angers, who did so much for him on a regular basis. Marc graduated from St. Stephen's High School and was thereafter employed by the City of Worcester and later by Atlas News Company. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life - watching television, praying the rosary, taking car rides to various places and visiting with people. Marc lived at Auburn Heights in Auburn for many years. While residing there, he enjoyed daily visits to the St. Francis Day Care Program where he participated in many group activities. Back in 2008, Marc moved to Spring Valley Nursing Home in Worcester where he enjoyed the good care and attention of the many staff members and residents. Marc's family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at both Auburn Heights and Spring Valley for their care and support during Marc's time of residence with them over the years. A funeral will be held on Thursday, July 22 from Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston Street. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marc's family before the funeral from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date.
