John E. "Johnny" Amorello, Jr. 59, of Shrewsbury and Osterville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday July 7, 2010 in St Vincent Hospital. John, a vibrant, fun loving and dedicated father, son, brother and friend was born July 26th 1950, in Worcester. He parents were John E. Amorello, SR and the late Louise M. (Paldino) Amorello. He graduated from North High School and Worcester Junior College. John grew up and lived in Worcester until moving to Shrewsbury over 10 years ago. John is survived by his daughter, Regina Amorello of Worcester; his father, John E. Amorello, Sr. of Shrewsbury; his three siblings, Irene E. Amorello Whelan of Worcester, Janet L. Amorello and her husband, Anthony Tomasiello, Jr. of Holden, Edward C. Amorello and his wife Anne Marie of Worcester; nieces, and nephews, Charles S.Whelan, J. William Whelan, Jr. , John E. Amorello, Olivia A. Amorello, Samuel A. Tomasiello, and Hannah R. Amorello; Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. A sister, Carol P. Amorello passed away in 2003, his maternal grandmother, Irene (Spingla) Paldino passed away in 2002, and his mother Louise M. (Paldino) Amorello passed away in 2000. John worked as an estimator for John E. Amorello & Sons Inc. and also worked for A. Amorello & Sons Construction Company. During the late 1960's John was a 60's era automobile enthusiast. He enjoyed racing these vehicles at several area racetracks often taking first place. John still owns several vintage antique automobiles. He collected coins, and pocket watches. He loved animals of all kinds especially his dogs. He was a American and World History enthusiast and also enjoyed classic movies. John loved to be in the company of friends and family. He could light up a room with his smile and presence. He was a kind and generous man who would help anyone in need. His love and presence will be greatly missed. John's funeral will be held Tuesday, July 13th from the MERCADDANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Monday, July 12th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
