Katherine"Kay" Mildred(Brown) Jones,68 of Boxboro died peacefully Sunday July 4, 2010 in the UMASS Medical Center, Worcester. She is survive d by her loving Family; A son Michael John Jones of Chicago Illinois, two daughters Dorothy Mary Jones and her husband Tho Minh Ngo of Worcester, and Joyce Katherine Jones of New Jersey, two grandchildren Melissa and Michael Jones, and a brother Donald " Emo" Landry of Whitman, MA. Kay was the beloved wife of the late Melvin Noel Jones a retired military veteran. Katherine was born in Boston and lived in Boxboro for most of her life. She worked for the Boxboro School District for many years before she retired. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by her family and friends. Katherine's funeral will be held Thursday July 8, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester, with a Mass of Christian burial at Holy Family/ St. Joseph Church 35 Hamilton St. Worcester at 10AM. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 5-8PM on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. (Mercadantefuneral.com)
