Matthew R. Thibodeau, 33, of Shrewsbury, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2010, joining his parents, Alfred and Diane (Hinson) Thibodeau in Heaven. Matthew was born in Worcester, and lived most of his life in Shrewsbury. He is survived by his loving sister, Jennifer M. Thibodeau, with whom he lived with; his brother, Brian J. Thibodeau of Shrewsbury; an aunt, Julie Alicandro and her husband David of Worcester; his uncle John Hinson and his wife Kathleen of Worcester; his God Father, John Gallo and his wife Deborah of Holden; an aunt Maryann Dufresne and her husband Joe of Holden; his uncle Robert Hinson and wife Sue of Sterling; as well as several cousins. Matthew also leaves behind a countless number of Outstanding friends. Matthew graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1994 and earned a Bachelors degree from Worcester State College. Matthew's passion in life was working with children. He was active in sports throughout his school years. On one occasion, while pitching an All Star Little League Game, he struck out twenty-seven batters in a 9 inning game. He found great joy in many things such as golf and music. His greatest moments were being in the company of family and friends who he valued immensely. He enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a member of Saint Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury. Calling hours for Matthew will be held on Thursday, July 1, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 2, at 12 Noon in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Matthew R.
