Cindy Westerlind, 50, of Oxford, formerly of 95 Glezen St Worcester passed away Saturday, June 26th 2010 in the University of Massachusetts Hospital after a many Medical challenges in her life. Cindy was born in Worcester, August 26th 1959, a daughter of Richard F. Westerlind, Sr. and Cecile F. Westerlind. She was raised in Worcester, graduated from Doherty High School and lived in California for a period of 10 years before moving back to Worcester, and the last 3 years in Oxford. She is survived by her devoted brother and sister in law, Richard F. Westerlind, Jr. and his wife Emmie-Lou of Oxford; eight nieces and nephews, Marc, Lauren, Dennis Owen, Michelle, Nicole, Meghan, Zack and Jonah; a dear cousin, Kathy Dalbec-McMahon of Worcester; aunts, uncles, other cousins and friends. A sister, Debra Westerlind pre deceased her. Cindy worked in the Central Sterilization unit of St. Vincent Hospital before retiring due to illness. She was a member of the former St. Margaret Mary Church. She loved to cook, bake and especially spend time with her family. The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 29th from The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 11:00 am in St Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, June 29th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the funeral home prior to the mass.
