Thomas W. Gray, Jr., 51, of Worcester, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 18, 2010, in Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Thomas is survived by his two daughters, Chamatee and her husband Dave Taylor of Worcester and Sheree McClain; his father, Thomas W. Gray, Sr., both of Worcester; two brothers, Darren Gray of Ashburn, VA and Kyle Gray of Worcester; three sisters, Vanessa White and Courtney Gray-Moore both of Atlanta, GA and Shelley Gray-Pitts of Worcester; his maternal grandmother, Bernice (Wilson) Smith of Worcester; his girlfriend, Doris Burns and step-daughter, Maya Burns of Worcester; six grandchildren, Davon, Davien, Chardem and Chard Taylor; Jordan McClain-Wilson and Chanari Thompson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Thomas was born in Worcester, son of the late Rheta (Smith) Gray, and has lived here all his life. He attended Burncoat Sr. High. He was employed as a lab technician for UMass-Memorial Hospitals. He was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed going to Sunday School. Calling hours for Thomas will be held on Thursday, June 24, from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon in Belmont Baptist Church, 25 Belmont Street, Worcester; with his Funeral Service being held at 12 Noon in the church.
