Corrinne (Francis) Yannacci, 79, formerly of Gleason Road in Shrewsbury, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. Her husband, Joseph A. Yannacci, predeceased her in 1998 Corrinne is survived by her son, Joseph F. Yannacci of North Fort Myers, Florida; a step-son, John Yannacci and his wife Michelle of Waterford, CT; two brothers, Richard F. Francis and his wife Dorothy of Millbury and George A. Francis of Worcester; a sister, Vivian Francis-Schweitz and her husband Garry of Chevy Chase, MD; her dear friend and companion, Maryann Messina of Worcester; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Corrine was born in Worcester, daughter of Aziz G. and Frieda (Abodeely) Francis. She graduated from Commerce High School and attended Salter's Business School. Mrs. Yannacci worked for over twenty years, as a bookkeeper for the Worcester School Department, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and enjoyed socializing with friends and relatives. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 22, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday morning from the funeral home with a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton Street, Worcester.
