Elaine E Warwick

Elaine E. (Erickson) Warwick, 86, of Worcester passed away peacefully, Friday, June 11th 2010 in the Shrewsbury Nursing Home surrounded by family. Elaine's husband of 44 years Gordon F. Warwick passed away in 1992. She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Jane Nyberg of Worcester, Ruth Belanger and her husband John of Spencer, three grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and friends. Elaine was born in Worcester, a daughter of John E. and Annie (Johnson) Erickson. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived here all her life. Elaine worked for State Mutual Life Insurance Company over 25 years as an Insurance Administrator before retiring in 1978. Elaine was an active member of Belmont Street Baptist church, sang in the church choir, played in the bell choir, taught Sunday school, served as a deaconess, was a member of its Women Missionary Guild and also a member of the Friday gals. She also donated her time as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for many years. Elaine enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, doing a variety of puzzles, playing the piano and collecting teddy bears. Funeral services for Elaine will be held Wednesday June 16th at 11:00 am in Belmont Street Baptist Church, 25 Belmont St. Burial will follow in Mt Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. Friends are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, June 15th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont Street Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 25 Belmont St. Worcester 01605.
