Robert Leslie, 92, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010 in The Lutheran Healthcare Center. His wife of fifty-three years, Kathleen (Daley) Leslie, predeceased him in 2003. He is survived by two sons, Robert Leslie of Marblehead and Mark Leslie and his wife Carol and their daughter Johanna K. Leslie all of Worcester. He was also predeceased by a son, Andrew D. Leslie, in 2008. Robert was born in North Adams, MA, son of Robert and Mary (Labombard) Leslie. Mr. Leslie was a bus driver, business agent and union negotiator for the Worcester Bus Company and Division 22 Amalgamated Transit Union AFL-CIO for many years, before retiring in 1990. He had previously owned Leslie Sunoco on Park Avenue in Worcester. Robert served our country in the United States Navy as Petty Officer First Class, and played an active role in Asia, known as "SACO"- Sino American Co-Operative Organization, which was activated shortly after the Pearl Harbor Attack. Mr. Leslie donated his body to The University of Massachusetts Medical School for medical education and research. A memorial services will be held at a later date to be announced.
