Joan E Pupillo

Joan E. (French) Pupillo, 68, of Worcester passed away Wednesday, June 9th 2010 in her home surrounded by her family. Joan's husband of 40 years, Matthew M. Pupillo passed away June 19th 2003; She is survived by her devoted children, Frank M. Pupillo of Worcester, Michael T. Pupillo of Clinton and Nicole C. Pupillo of Brooklyn NY ; five cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, Alyssa, Christopher and Emily; A sister, Avis Simmons in CT; nieces, nephews and friends. Joan was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Frank N. French, Jr and Arlene I. (Orvis) French. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived here all her life. Joan many years worked as an executive assistant for the Digital Equipment Corporation before retiring. Her enjoyments included shopping, collecting shoes and purses and playing pitch with her friends. Joan's life was filled with love for her husband and children, especially her grandchildren, which gave her the greatest joy. She will be missed terribly. Joan's funeral service will be held Saturday, June 12th at 10:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 370 Plantation St. Burial will follow next to her husband in St John Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 am to 10:30 am prior to the service.
